Where There's Smoke: A Gay M/M/M Romance

Rate this book
He's in love with two men. Will he make his deepest fantasy a beddable reality?

Fleeing from Chicago and his memories of a brutal attack, Santiago Mendoza feels ready to face life again. But even though he's in a committed relationship with his new boyfriend, he can't stop thinking about his ex. And he secretly fantasizes that his sizzling duo could become a red-hot love affair for three.

Muscled firefighter Jonas Sandbauck bides his time, waiting for the right moment to propose to the deliciously sensitive Santiago. But when his emotionally damaged beau welcomes advances from his former partner, he fears he might lose the only man to set his heart ablaze.

Successful businessman Myles Greyson will never stop missing the gorgeous lover he let walk out of his life. Though when he decides to make his move before it's too late, his reappearance in Santiago's space causes a rift with the foxy Jonas.

As fiery emotions threaten to burn up his still-fragile world, Santiago must make a choice before he loses both men. But when Jonas and Myles finally end up alone together, the tension ignites sparks too hot to ignore.

Will Santiago destroy his chance at happily-ever-after, or can he convince Jonas and Myles that this is a three-way-love of a lifetime?

Where There's Smoke is a smoldering standalone gay romance. If you like tantalizing threesomes, hot-and-heavy angst, and steamy sex, then you'll adore BLMorticia's seductive M/M/M story.

Found the first half very choppy and very hard to stay invested in the story. The writing came over as very simplistic and read like a school book but seemed to improve as the story went on. A long story, glad when I reached the end. Pleased that the guys got their HEA and Pamela and Sarah their HFN.

I really liked Where There’s Smoke. It was sweet and cute, I even thought that they lived in a romance novel. There was a little bit of angst and great sex. I liked how hard all 3 men tried to be with each other. It was fast-paced and easy to read and I recommend this book.

The more the merrier 💖

A great addition to the MMM genre. Three hot men (one who literally fights fires😎) and cute little princess made this a sweet story.

Santiago suffers a horrific attack, flees Chicago and makes an attempt to start over. Moving forward is hard to do when your undivided attention is looking backwards instead of focusing on the present with your current boyfriend. Will his fantasies of a threesome come true?

Jonas is Santiago's current firefighter love and wishes to propose. Things go awry when he witnesses the welcoming advances from the ex. Will Jonas understand the needs? Can he welcome another man into his bed?

Myles is the businessman Santiago can't seem to let go of. It appears the feelings are mutual. Myles initially did not see a long distance relationship as feasible and they went their separate ways. Now perhaps there are some regrets. Is Myles willing to share Santiago with another man or will he try to woo him away from Jonas?

Santiago is in a precarious position and has to make decisions or run the risk of ending up alone. A delicate balance will come into focus.
Be ready for regrets, steamy romance, love, passion, tissue worthy moments, and a baby!

Its always fascinating to see how three people can come together in a loving and cohesive relationship. Working out this kinks so all parties can get what they need and desire in an M/M/M romance.

This was a book I only finished because it was a challenge book. I love poly books but this one hit one of my triggers for romance. Over and over and over this book beat the theme of "For the Baby". Lets get together because it will be better for baby. Lets accept another guy into my relationship because the baby is cute and I feel sorry for him. Myles was a complete douche in the beginning of the book thinking Santiago was just going to come panting after him after he straightened out his family mess and left Santiago alone to deal with a trauma. Think on using the baby to get his way and disregarding Jonas completely. Then Santiago thinking a threesome with two guys who intensely dislike each other and live in different cities is the way to go is mind boggling. I'm also scratching my head as to why Santiago let alone Jonas is so attached to Macy. Santiago left Macy and Myles and hasn't seen them in month and has started a new life. Now suddenly the baby is more important than anything. Jonas one minute can't stand Myles the next is trying to get him into the threesome doesn't make any sense. The only character I marginally liked was Jonas but the other two were spoiled and self-entitled idiots.

Where There's Smoke is a beautifully written story that might not be for sensitive readers. Have tissues handy just in case, this book covers some hard topics. This story is about Santiago, Jonas, and Myles. Sometimes family doesn't change just because you brake up with someone. Though Santiago and Myles weren't together he still considered Myles's baby niece and mother part of his family despite what his current boyfriend, Jonas thought. Myles still loved Santiago and always thought they'd get back together and didn't care that Santiago was with Jonas now. Myles knew what he wanted and used whatever means necessary to get it. I love his determination. I love how sweet Santiago was and wanted to stay in baby Macy's life. That sweet baby needed all the love she can get. At first the idea of the three men being together seemed odd but Santiago's passion about the three of them raising Macy together really made sense. It was a hard journey as they realized they did love each other want to be a family together no matter what people might think. I'm glad they found their happy ending.
I recommend this book.

I loved that this book had a menage theme. I also loved the characters. The biggest problems I had with the book was that it moved a bit slow in parts and that the menage didn't quite fulfill expectations.

I think that this book showed a great deal of potential and for the most part was entertaining to read. I just thought that the relationship moving from two to three took a long time. I wasn't expecting instant love or anything. I just expected a little more with the book being considered a menage. It dealt more with leading up to the relationship than what happened afterwards. I personally like the afterwards better because that is when they are settling down and finding their way.

I will say that my favorite character was Jonas. He felt like a protector to me and was so caring. Santiago was a close runner up. He was a family man. When it came to Myles, part of me liked him and part of me didn't. (view spoiler)

Overall, the book was a pretty good read. It had enough action that it kept me entertained. I didn't completely live up to my expectations as a menage book, but as a romance it was nice.

BLMorticia's Where There's Smoke tells us the tale of Santiago, Myles and Jonas. Three men trying to figure out how it all can work.

Santiago suffered a horrible incident and flees Chicago. Myles didn't see a long distance relationship working out at that moment and set him free from their love affair. Eventually he sees the error of his ways and wants his love back. Too bad for him that Santiago has already moved on and the sexy Jonas has no plans of letting Santiago go. But then things get really interesting...

I love the interactions between these three men and there story. Passionate, steamy, sweet and caring... a bit humor, some drama and action, and some adorable baby moments. I love the street justice that goes down and the past that haunts Santiago is heartbreaking. Overall the story grabbed my attention, kept it and had me needing to see this throuple plus baby find their happy ending.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest post review and recommendation.

DNF - Just couldn't get into it. The writing came across as a passive monotone, and the constantly rotating POV made the pace incredibly slow. None of the characters seemed all that well fleshed out, and sometimes the text felt a little condescending towards them.

Hard to put into words. There were parts of this book I loved and parts that dragged on. The characters were awesome. Some plot twists I did not expect.

DNF after five pages. I've found the writing style juvenile and quite impossible to read. First person POV should have a clear focus, not ramble on random subjects and thoughts all over the place. Whoever edited this book should probably keep it out of his/her resume.
