Most folks that spent any time in Viet nam know all too well what a honey bucket is. Every encounter I had with marines on Okinawa was a learning experience. Learned to. Drink in the morning, and afternoon as well as evening. And again throughput the day. Fact is I seldom met one that couldn't drink me under the table. It was always a pleasure!
A really quick and easy read. It wasn't fantastic, but I gave him 5 stars because he was actually there and Vietnam vets are special to me for many reasons the biggest being how poorly they were treated after their arrival home. This book doesn't go into any great detail, but it's still interesting.
Good reading! As others have pointed out, it brings back memories, both good and bad. Assigned as a adviser, I often wonder what happened to my counterpart! He was a young Lt.
The author writes a great book based on his recollection of events, as he experienced them. The author, like so many other veterans, has chosen to immortalise his units, his fellow Marines, and those that made the supreme sacrifice for the country.
