The second book in the series, this one takes on a magic convention and plans to take over the Magic Circle. These books were ok. Best for middle school readers, as there is a plot that will appeal to young beginners in magic. While some magic secrets are sort of revealed, there isn't an explicit methods teaching aspect to the stories. While the author slaps around some stolid traditions of magic societies he also plants snide daggers in some real magicians, that didn't seem called for. I see there is at least one more in the series. We'll see if I decide to read it.
