An Excellent Read

I met the author at BookCon and was interested in her books. Unfortunately for me, she was sold out. That success was well-deserved for this was a truly thrilling story. I purchased a Kindle copy, and it is one of the better stories I've read in some time. Miss Novak created two POV characters that draw in the reader and keep the pages turning. There are chilling moments sprinkled throughout that enhance the experience for the reader. You will grow to care about the characters in a short time, and you'll be dying to know what happens next. It is a clean, well-written book that doesn't suffer from unnecessary word padding. The story is direct and to the point, and that is a testament to the author's talent. Read this book!

Skylar or Sky is growing up in foster care because her mother died giving birth and her father just didn't want anything to do with her. Sky is used to being moved from foster home to foster home, but it's more frequent for her because most families don't want the schizo girl in their home.
For almost the entire book, I was trying to figure out if Sky was schizophrenic or schizotypical. I enjoyed the "mystery" of this book. Novak has written this story in such away that this reader was trying to figure out which characters were suppose to be real.

Sara has written a perfect story. This book really got me to the edge of my sofa. I was intrigued to what happen next every time I turned the page. Sara is a great author and I am sure she will write more horror and spooky stories. An author to watch out for! She is amazing! 5 stars all the way!

The story might have been good but the book is in such desperate need of editing that I couldn't enjoy it.
