Cranes In The Sky #2

Postcards From The Edge

Rate this book
From the moment Messiah laid eyes on Shyhiem, she knew he was no good for her. Tall, dark as night with a chip on his shoulder, he was everything she needed to stay away from. Messiah was already headed down a dangerous road to recovery, as the ex-ballerina battled with the death of her parents and son. It was haunting her every move.
On paper, they were never meant to be, but neither of their hearts would let the other go. For a month and a half, Messiah and Shyhiem were on top of the world. Their love affair impacted their lives in ways neither of them could have imagined - until outside influences eventually tore them apart.
Since their relationship was severed, a month has gone by, leaving both Messiah and Shyhiem on the edge of insanity. Being away from each other is a struggle neither of them could’ve imagined - but being together isn’t an option either can afford.
It's already been determined that they’re no good for one another, so why does love keep pulling them back? Time keeps ticking, seasons are about to change and new obstacles are in place. Will Messiah and Shyhiem find their way back to one another for good or will they be another tragic, love story destined for nowhere?

Omg this was a great read I really loved this book.
Messiah and Shyhiem have been thru it all the ups and downs of being in the relationship. Loving someone so much until it hurts. Trying to make their way back to each other with so many obstacles in their way. Shyhiem was hurt so he felt Messiah rejected him and he exposed his heart to her he hasn't loved anyone like her. Messiah loved Shyhiem and want be with him she saw him with another woman she couldn't except being someone else. Shyhiem changed and he had secrets that haunted him he took a life. He was regretting his choices and decision he made. Getting to know his father who was dieing from cancer and find out his father loved him he tried to help him his mother wouldn't allow it and end causing Shyhiem to resent his father based on a lie. Messiah broke up with Shyhiem she thought he was cheating on her with Lincoln she tried to move on but he wouldn't let her because messed up he apologized. Mayhem warned her to stay away from his brother because he couldn't focus. Also Bryson wanted Messiah back she refused to go back to being used by him and mistreated. Keesha told Shyhiem about his kids were Mayhem that hurt him he felt betrayed him his brother was sleeping with her behind his back. He was the only father Shania and Sonny knew. Department of Social Services Keesha was arrested for refusing take a drug test and found drugs in the house of Mayhem. Shyhiem and Messiah got married and he got shot in the back. He was trying to protect Messiah I thought she died she end up pregnant and they moved to California .Lake her sister married baseball who married her but was gay. Messiah and Shyhiem struggles with internal insecurities and painful memories past and present trying to love each other despite their struggles. Keesha ended up going to jail for 3 years and turned on Mayhem. Mayhem had ended up getting 10 years in prison. And losing his brother due his secret affair with the Keesha and being the twins father the ultimate betrayal. It didn't matter to Shyhiem if the twins Shania and Sonny we're not biological his he loved them anyway despite the circumstances he was the only father they knew and he men up and took the responsibility for taking care of the mental and encouraging to great despite Keesha selfish and unfit mothering skills. Messiah and Shyhiem love story was deep and it gives you hope it is possible. I loved the fact despite their pain they kept moving and discovering God plan to pursue their dreams and welcome a new life Shyhiem becoming a filmmaker and going to school and Messiah becoming a ballerina dance and raise their children. I would love another book on the couple and what new the life and accomplished they made and see what new with twins. Messiah and Shyhiem love story has you wanting more and can't wait. Also will their ever be another Torn book about Mo and Boss.

Simply Beautiful!!

After reading a few of Ms. Ervin’s books and being disappointed in the way she portray the women as weak, insecure, and portraying most of the men as disrespectful to women, I was skeptical about reading another novel by her. However, I was pleasantly surprised after reading Shyheim and Messiah love story.

I can honestly say this book is my all time favorite book by Keisha Ervin.
I loved the way they showed their love for each other and how they fought through their trials and tribulations not allowing anyone or anything keep them apart.
They both admitted to their wrong doings and were not afraid to apologize.

I am so glad that Shyheim found out the truth about his father. I am also glad he obtained custody of his kid, because with a mom like Keesha, those poor kids were doomed.
Ms. Ervin, keep writing stories like these and I will continue to read.
I’ve already read the books twice and sure I will read again.

I loved book 2 even more!

Reading Shyheim and Messiah's story took me on an emotional Rollercoaster. My heart was broken when I thought their relationship was over. I was happy to see that it ended the way it did. I loved book 2 even more than I loved book one. I wish there was more to the story, but I'll settle for the two books Keisha Ervin blessed me with. I was so happy that Messiah and Lake's relationship got better. I was also happy that Keesha and Mayheim got what they deserved. I will be checking out more of Keisha Ervin's work. I'm so mad that I'm late to the party, but I'm glad she has an extensive list for me to choose from. I definitely recommend both books to anyone that likes a good romance story.

Engaging

Keisha I have watched you grow and just get better and better with time. Although it was somewhat clear where the story was going, you did drop a few bombs that I wasn't prepared for. But, for me, the most important aspect is that your writing is almost perfect. And, the way you develop the characters in your stories, is out of this world. Great job, again! So is Lake's drama-filled story next?

Whoa

It got scary for a minute but I kept reading. If Shyheim and Messiah are an example of pure and true love, then love hurts so good but for their good. I was hoping Messiah would get a chance to parent again and actually give birth. It was the perfect touch to this ending. I don’t know what happened with Bryson and his girl which is the only thing I wanted to know more about but him not getting Messiah is better than nothing!

Loving This series

I loved this series it started slow but I knew you would deliver.I loved Messiah she had a innocent that was really( I know this sounds corny but)she was really refreshing you don't get to read about this kind of innocent. Now Shyhiem was a different story lies made him into the person he was.Messiah was the best thing to happen to Shyhiem.

Good read

This was a good read but the indecisiveness oh Messiah and Shyheim got on my nerves at times. They love each other they’re mad at each other they can’t be together they are back together ugh! It turned out that they got their happily ever after but it to some betrayal and some hard knocks to get there.
