Are you running ahead of God?
So many avoidable obstacles trip us up when we’re running a self-directed course instead of walking with God. Pondering the path involves thought as well as action, combined with yielding. Life is fast and demanding, but we can choose to slow our pace to a follower’s speed. Ponder the Path. Don’t blaze your own trail.

Another great book by Francie Taylor. This devotional gives a quick, practical, spiritual thought for each day. It is a pick me up some days and a kick in the rear end on others. I enjoyed it and it was a help to my spiritual life for sure! Read it- it will help you.

"There are so many pains in life but none quite as painful as the self-inflicted wounds that come from carving out our own paths."

I'll be honest...I'm really terrible at keeping up with devotionals and considering this book is a 31 day devotional, I decided to go ahead and read this book in only a few sittings. Doing so had led to a read that was full of conviction. This book provides a single scripture for every day that is meant to be meditated on and so as I read from one entry to the next, it made for a very powerful read. Along with the wonderful scriptures provided, Francie Taylor keeps her examples pertaining to each subject of whatever particular verse is being read, short, sweet and to the point. Reading it as I had made for a quick read but one that I'm certainly not walking away empty handed with. I'm very eager to read more of Taylor's work in the future!
