Guns Along The Weary River

Rate this book
It is a time period as vast as the desert and as relevant as our world today. It is the time between Colonial America and the modern age. A place that held death, destruction, love, desire and greed. A time of man’s bravery and fears. A place where a man needed every ounce of his strength to survive. A barbaric time. A better time. It is a place we call the Old West. This is an exciting adventure in that dangerous, yet, dramatic and exciting place.

Big Ben Culver thought that he found paradise and dreamed of a place where people could live in harmony. Farm, Ranch. And raise a family. Little did he know that greed always wants a part.

This is the latest action-action adventure from the #1 bestselling Western author John D. Fie, Jr. Saddle up and ride with a true Western bestseller through that wild and dangerous place called the Old West. This adventure will take guns, guts and glory…

I have been an avid fan of John D. Fie, Jr. for quite some time now and this story is one of his best. There is plenty of fast action and a lot of exciting gunplay throughout the entire story. Not much rest for the weary, as I have heard all my life.

Very worthy of the five stars I have awarded this very well written story and there is never a dull moment throughout this entire book.

Mr. Fie, once again, goes above and beyond in his efforts to maintain the reader's full attention throughout the entire story. The storylines and characters proved themselves time and again in an effort to maintain the reader's interest and did an excellent job in achieving their goals.

I was practically spellbound throughout the entire story, as the excitement never ceases one iota from beginning to end. I would definitely love to see another episode of Ben and his sister in the immediate future, as Mr. Fie certainly left an excellent opening.

Most definitely recommend this story to you lovers of factual old western folklore. This family, and friends, know how to maintain everyone's attention at all times, with plenty of exciting gunplay and adventure. To not read, and enjoy, this novel will definitely be your loss!

A crooked lawman from Waco, Texas causing unrest among the settlers, so that he can put his ugly plans into effect. Big Ben Culver who settled the area with other fighting men, who at the time scouted for the American Calvert. U know you will always have someone who will ALWAYS try to sow the seeds of discontent for their own purposes. This adventure shows this and the malcontents who sow all this evil so that they can reap all the assets of the town. You will enjoy reading this adventure and in the end...TRUTH will always prevail at the cost good people dying for the cause..PEACE🌈

This a good action packed story. The author created quite a cast of characters and played them off each other well.

His name is Culver? Like the restaurant Culver's? It's so good the butterburgers and cheese curds!
