A curious story of identity, sexual politics, and elaborate revenge. In the general thread of so many novels which either focus on or at least mention how difficult it is for a woman to be married to a policeman, this one has its share of sordid behaviour, but also quite a lot of humour and a fluid style. It also fits into the general thematic category of "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."
