This is a fascinating story of a woman from the time she is a teenager until she is the President of her country. Noella was a willful teenager who would not listen to anything she was told to do. She looked like her famous mother who had died many years ago. Noella married and moved in exciting circles becoming a model. Her father and sister are killed. She starts to change her life. She goes to school, becomes a spokes person for changes in her country. Eventually she becomes president of her country. Her life makes many changes and she has many heartaches along the way but she takes what she has learned to help her country.

Noelle is the willful daughter of the president of a South American country and his ex-movie star wife. Her older sister is the perfect daughter and Noelle struggles to get her father's love and attention against her sister. After a series of events Noelle is thrust into the limelight.

I liked the book. The only negative was the number of love scenes. While some where necessary for character development, a number didn't really add to the story and the detail could have been reduced.

It is a fast paced book and I recommend it.

Noella is the younger daughter of the president of a South American country. She felt left out by her father due to an accident when she was a young child and started a new life in Paris. After a family tragedy, Noella found the courage to give purpose to her life . The country was in turmoil and she knew that she could save the country by carrying on her fathers challenges. To fulfill what she determined to be her destiny, she had to give up on love, return to a man she hated and risk her life to bring freedom to her countrymen. This is the 3rd book I've read by this author and I plan to read all of her books.

Jennifer Bacia has done it again!

I previously read, and very much enjoyed, the author’s book “A Very Public Scandal.” Reading this one has convinced me that her success with that novel was no fluke. In “Whisper Her Name,” Jennifer Bacia again weaves a narrative tapestry of suspense which never stops, maintaining a breathtaking pace. The story spans several continents, with scenes in London and Paris, as well as South America, and two generations, with our heroine being the daughter of the President of the troubled south of the border land and of a mother who used to be a film star.

The dynamic and intelligent plot do not prevent her from taking the time to portray inspiring three-dimensional characters that become real to the reader and inspire us with their insight and courage, as well as their determination to overcome tremendous obstacles.

I was literally captivated by this expertly written suspense tale, which kept me turning pages (albeit electronic) until it was finished late at night. This is the kind of satisfying book which furnishes you with food for thought, entertains, and leaves you wanting more. After this, I’m certain to seek out more of Jennifer Bacia’s work, as she has proven herself to be a master storyteller.

Noelle is my heroine! She's a modern day Robin Hood with a sordid family and a colorful life. Instead of this book being about family secrets or mistakes, it's about choices. Your choices dictate who you are, not where you come from. This books speaks of individuality and going with your gut. It's also a good reminder of the saying "what you do in the dark will come to light." Sometimes the sins of the father do reflect on the son, or in this case, the daughter. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I don't know how she does it but Bacia just gets it. She reaches in her readers brain and hooks up that connection. Keep writing and I'll keep reading.

Whisper Her Name is a thrilling tale of a young woman who is born into a powerful political family. The esteem of her family name dictates that the main character must behave with a certain level of pedigree. However her headstrong ways lead her down many dark paths. This is a beautiful and exciting story of a brave woman who chose to learn her life lessons the hard way and found triumph and fulfillment in the process. The power of love, loss, an inner strength are at the core of this novel.

Jennifer Bacia's Whisper Her Name is a whirlwind book detailing the tragedies surrounding the de Bartez family and how the sole survivor rises to the occasion and finally makes her father proud. Bacia ingeniously melds love, loss, religion, politics, excitement and danger - the entire range of human emotions to deliver a mind blowing tale of perseverance and victory. Wonderful read!
