If you're looking into "vegan world" and all that it comes with more closely and you're either considering becoming vegan full time, or if you simply want to incorporate more plant based food into your diet - this book is definitely for you. I've got a general feeling that it's probably a book best for those who only started discovering the vegan lifestyle and want to know more.
With chapters explaining what vegan is all about, that it's not as simple as "I'm not eating any meat and any animal products", that it's a philosophy, a way of life and how you make choices when it comes to how you spend your time, money, what you wear, use and of course what you put on your plate.
Being a non-vegan myself I actually thoroughly enjoyed the book, there was no "preaching", no taking "high moral ground" which, unfortunately, is present (and I mean present A LOT) in many vegan publications. This book is surely makie you more interested in vegan food and its concept, rather than scare/annoy you.
I really liked how the author explains the food issue - why you could be better off not eating diary, eggs, etc. but most importantly, she gives you options of substitutes and plenty of ideas of other products to incorporate in your diet. Vegan food has MUCH more to it than a "mushroom risotto"...
All in all - not only nice recipes, but also a lot of information about vegan lifestyle, life choices, and how, even not being a committed full-time vegan, you can help the environment, your local community and most importantly - even your family.
