Monty Hendrickson is making plans to bring his bride, Mary Charlotte Stuart, from her plantation home in Georgia to his ranch home in the West.
But Arizona Territory, early 1880s is a time when silver and copper mining, cattle ranching, and renegade Apaches vie for the land.
Will lawlessness, kidnapping, murder, and mystery surrounding the C Bar B Ranch thwart Monty’s plans? Or will trials, separations, and hardships lead them to let God’s providential hand shape their lives and mold them into the people He wants them to be?
The premise of the book was good, however, the characters were underdeveloped and I had little empathy for them. It was difficult to follow the thread of the story at times. And the ending was unsatisfying as it was supposed to wrap up the mystery of why everything had happened but was still not clear.
