Discover your story with the PAPER HEARTS WORKBOOK. A companion to the acclaimed Paper Hearts writing and publishing guides, NY Times Bestselling author Beth Revis has collected years of experience with teaching and workshopping writing. The result is a comprehensive workbook perfect for any aspiring author. Start with setting goals before writing and complete the workbook with ideas on what to do once the novel's complete. The activities compiled here help writers understand their characters, discover their voice, develop the story, and structure the plot.
Beth Revis writes books. She also eats too much chocolate, wishes she could travel more, and prefers puppies to people. Beth lives in rural NC with her boys: one husband, one son, two very large puppies.
I'm trying to teach myself how to write a book by reading selected writing books and completing some online courses because it's not in the budget to attend an in-person workshop/retreat/conference at the moment. I read through this book and plan to work through it with a story idea to see if this method will help me achieve finishing writing a book.
I find this incredibly useful. It has really helped me organize my mess of ideas and helped me fill in a few holes. I definitely recommend it to anyone trying to write their first book.
