Originally from Tennessee, Katherine Stano is a writer and children's book author who loves a good novel just as much as she loves a big scoop of banana pudding (and that is a lot). Her stories are known for their quirky characters, tender lessons, and just a bit of Southern charm. Katherine has a BA in Music from The University of Mississippi, a home in Kansas, and a little dog, too.

That clever investigative raccoon Watson is at it again. He is the go-to raccoon when anything goes missing and his friends know that because they consider him a discovery genius.

And one day he hears a cry for help from his friend Earl Squirrel who cannot find his acorn. Watson immediately thinks he knows the answer, dashes off and returns with some corn on the cob. Earl has to tell him that it is not that kind of corn he has lost, it is an acorn, Earl's favourite nut!

Watson quizzes Earl as to how he acquired the nut and then sets about investigating with the help of a search party in the form of some cheerful chipmunks. Eventually, with the help of Ollie Owl, the missing acorn is discovered ... but not in the form that it was lost!

'Hooray for Watson!' Earl cries as the chipmunks applaud him/

Once again lovely illustrations from Karla Taylor enhance the production.
