For her first Christmas home in over ten years Katherine wants nothing more than family time around a roaring fire with a glass of mulled wine.

But when the storm of the century rolls in too early, she’s left alone and close to death in the forest at the edge of her parent’s property. That is, until she’s rescued by a strange wolf and things go from danger to desire very quickly.

Katherine has moved to Vancouver and comes home for Christmas after 10 years of absence. Coming back home has been bittersweet, she has missed her long romps in the snow with her brothers, she has also forgotten how treacherous the weather can be. Trying to get to shelter before she is buried in snow, she wakes up to a wonderful, beautiful, sensuous face, never mind that sexy as sin Irish accent! She can't ignore her sexuality and she hasn't been with a wolf in years, since she was last home as a matter of fact and who knows when she will again.

This is a very short, but sensual and enjoyable story.

What a great snippet of a moment in the life of Kathrine LaFemme. We see her in another light as she is thrown into circumstances that she had no control over and the heat is rising. Can the desire she feels starting to build be returned, and where will it leave her once the flames have been tended to.

Another great short story in the Katharine LaFlamme saga. We get to see how Katharine deals with a situation that is completely out of her control.

Wonderfully written and full of passion. A great companion to the series!
