I must admit, this story was very detailed; however, for the age range that it falls under it is entirely too much! I do not understand the author of most children's books, either they are made to simple or way to complicated. My son, he is five years old, lost interest with this story way before we were even half way through. It's not a bad story and the illustrations are beautifully done, I just don't think it is made for younger children.
