Warning: is IS her dissertation - so there is a lot to wade through. However, the message is clear with many examples. Interpreting is an interaction - we are not a phone line, we are not robots, we are not machines and we are NOT invisible. Once we understand that, we can navigate with everyone involved have a much more robust and meaningful process.
