Firfi, For what Surveyor can be fure, even with the belt Theodolite, or other Infirument, to take the four Angles of a Trapezium lo exactly as to be juflr equal to four Right-angles. Or if not. To which Angle 'will he impute the Error? Now, in this Care, I rup pofe all will allow, that to take with the Chain one Dia gonal, or both if you pleafe, though not always necell'ary, is the Way to correct the Work; and if fo, the Angle will hereby be determined, becaufe the three Sides of each Triangle is given; and confequentlv the [ultra ments for taking Angles is rendered thereby altogether ul'elel's and the Errors contiaéted by the Ufe of In firuments are rectified by the Chain only.
