Jeroen Krabbe: Painter

Rate this book
First known as a celebrated actor and director over the years, Jeroen Krabbe has also drawn international attention and recognition as a graphic artist. It was after several well-received exhibitions in various museums and galleries in the Netherlands that Krabbe's painting career truly took flight. Today, painting claims a substantial part of his life, not as a secondary or side-line pursuit, but as an absolute necessity and an ever greater priority. Since 1992, his atelier in Amsterdam, once the workplace of the painter G.H. Breitner, is Jeroen's graphic art domain. This is where his paintings come into being representing the many journeys he undertakes and locations he visits when he practices his other, hectic profession. Just as his inspiration transcends national borders, so do his paintings, illustrated here, with their distinctive and unique imagery, find their way to collectors across the world.
