There's a reason why light novels are considered to be the "junk food" of literature- Compared to regular novels, the overall flow, structure and literally everything else is inferior and mediocre when it comes to these elements. Now don't get me wrong here, there are very few LN's that are "good" but let's be real here, 99% of them are absolute garbage. But then there are some extra special ones that I would like to call the ranking below that- That type of LN that makes me wonder how in the hell did this pile of shit get written, get past publishing and what drugs the author was on? This, right here is dedicated to exactly that.

First off to note is the plot. Is there any? No. Or rather, just barely.
It's a mash of convoluted events and characters and perspective changes that bring some confusion and bloat all just to thicken the pages.

It starts off with the protagonist, Togami Shinobu, waking up to a near nude Togami Byakuya, in which he wakes up and explains that his identity was stolen and the impostor declared a "World Domination Proclamation", stating that he would be killed within 24 hours or the "pitiful cattle" be found. Failure to do so means he takes over the world. Already this off to uh, a 'good' start, but I'm not gonna explain further, so have a summary of things: Sonia then speeds in with an armored car full of soldiers, as well as a black mercedes benz with a red haired person jumping out and attacking the soldiers with an electric guitar. The novel's protagonists get in and after one of the characters falls out of the car they see a flying baby along with more absurd sights. Another chapter starts off with a shut in (Suzuhiko Otsuki), and the environment is described to be an empty town. Inside one of the houses there are a couple of children, apparently having commit copycat crimes. The next chapter adds in crap like "Global Council Controllers" and a "Despair Novel", as well as an event starring Kazuichi Soda, Sonia, random members of an institute along with a crowd of citizens surrounding the church of bones, a robot and a masked Sakura Ogami.

- A car scene with Shinobu and some character somehow reaching Prague from their location in one chapter only to drive right back to their destination, despite it taking ~8 hours to do so
- And so on and so forth.

Now onto the characters themselves. First off the author just doesn't even bother to give them a good description, there are only bits and pieces here and there leading to a very inconclusive picture. Hell, even Togami Shinobu is literally described to be "pretty" and nothing more. To add to that, they're flat, empty and have nothing to them. Why should I give a shit about them? Most make a minor appearance only to be never brought up again or barely having papertime. Another thing is the sentence structure, flow and dialog. As I've stated before, LN's are notorious for bottom-of-the-barrel quality, and this takes the cake.. It's god awful. Here are some honorable mentions:

> ""B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya Byakuya..."

>"Squeeze. Squeeeeeze. Squeeeeeeeze. My trachea constricted with a squeeze. Squeeze. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeze. I couldn't breathe. Squeeeeeze. I became lightheaded from all the squeeeeeeeeezing. My vision grew dim with a squeeeeeeeze, and there was a terrible squeeeeeezing ringing in my ears."

> "What kind of question is that? DAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

> "What kind of question is that, part 2... DAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

> "Righty-o, then, how's about I introduce you to my good friend, the status screen? Let's pull that up right now, shall we? DAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

> "This is the truth. DAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Otsuki laughed loudly, dancing around for no reason. Stampstampstampstampstamp."

...Yeah. Now first off, spamming "AHAHHAHAH"'s doesn't give a character personality, in this case for Otsuki. All it does is make things more obnoxious and lower the reader's general IQ for every time it's repeated and not only that, can be simply avoided by stating that the character laughed manically/insert description here, in which this author clearly lacks the skills to do.

Now what was the author on when writing this pile of garbage that somehow got published, and "praised" by the DR member Twitter handles? (How are people's standards so low to praise a LN with shit-tier writing?) Alcohol? Weed? Cocaine? Maybe all or a mixture of them? Maybe not and somehow he took time out of his day and unironically decided he'd want to write this, even pausing the book for him to boast about how good he is. Maybe he decided to intentionally sabotage the novel due to his request of the Yamada novel being rejected and if that's the case then major props to him.. But we would never know.

Overall to wrap this up I might have gotten multiple forms of AIDS, cancer and have lost my braincells due to reading this abomination of a "light novel" in which the author clearly lacks skills in (or simply does not have the ability to) character descriptions, flow, and overall writing itself. The more spinoffs Danganronpa gets, the lower quality shit gets, it seems. This honestly never should have been created.

If you somehow managed or are planning to get a copy of this, do yourself a favor and chuck the book in the trash and save your sanity and general IQ. Actually, no. Burning it would yield a better value of your cash (and you get a bonus of warming yourself up and watching a pretty blaze.).

Honestly began reading this because I love Byakuya so much and I was sold the moment I heard about this, but I didn't find the story to be quite boring and too much. If you want to try reading it, go right ahead.

Nah this is actually booty like it’s so bad. The only redeeming quality is the like 2 seconds where byakuya is actually featured
