The articles in this monograph highlight practices found in Chapter 4 (Trivette & Dunst) of DEC Recommended Practices in Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education (Sandall, McLean, & Smith, 2000). They address the values, beliefs, and practices inherent in the recommended practices definition. They do so by describing specific strategies that will assist practitioners to collaborate with families in achieving the various components of the recommended practices.
