I can convert the metric measurements in the recipes but the directions include terms like slashed, smashed, hacked & others an experienced cook can figure out but a beginner wouldn't know. Chicken breasts are chicken bosoms & there are lots of ingredients I don't recognize. I bought a 4 quart Instant Pot but this book doesn't tell me how to reduce recipes. Mashed potatoes are listed under desserts & not called mashed potatoes. I would return this book of I didn't have Kindle Unlimited but chances are good I will delete it. I got this book to learn to use the Instant Pot, I did get some laughs but little else.
The explanation of the parts & functions of the pot is decent & beginners would definitely find it helpful. The language gets a little weird at times. The recipes are a mashup of US & European measurements so a conversion chart should be nearby. The categories get a bit strange. For example roast fingerling potatoes are under desserts. Overall I’d say the sections about the pot & how to use them are excellent. The recipes directions are easy to follow. It’s a good starting point, especially for busy people. Using the recipes will give you nutritious dinners.
This is a translation I assume and is totally hilarious as to how some ingredients are described (destroyed chicken blossoms was the one that really tickled me!!) However the recipes are kind of strange and lean towards more Oriental tastes. The descriptions of how the pot works is also hard to understand due to the convoluted makeup of the sentences. SO-- unless you want a giggle or two I'd go with a different cookbook. By the way- the destroyed chicken blossoms was chopped chicken breast
This is a good book for beginners. The bad grammar was a bit distracting.
I picked 2 stars because I had to read some sentences multiple times because I lost my focus on the narrative. It started out pretty good for the first 2 chapters but the rest of the chapters were written by a different person who had there spell checker turned off. The editor should have caught a number of grammatical errors. Otherwise, this was a good beginners book.
This book is only 99 cents for a reason. Despite the author's name being listed as Jeff Jordan, the book reads as though it was translated from another language, perhaps by a computer, and never proofread by an English-speaking human. Read it for entertainment.
The recipes in this book may be good, but there are so many errors that should have been fixed by an editor or a proofreader that they are difficult to read.
