A cross section of 100 works in the Tate Britain, from 16th century to present times, the photos were clear, easy to follow descriptions and notes about purchase details. Not all to my taste, but a good selection to cover every category.

This was a fantastic book - 100 works from the Tate collection with a page of description on each. Just the right amount of information and it helped me to appreciate a lot of the older pieces, which are not normally the ones that I am drawn to.
