Clinical Applications of Computer Analysis of Eeg and Other Neurophysiological Signals

Rate this book
The experience of the last decade shows that there are no general computer methods applicable to all problems encountered in EEG or EMG. This second volume in the revision of the much acclaimed series considers three main aspects of general important practical problems in the development of data-banks, recent applications in electroencephalography of techniques developed in the area of artificial intelligence, and methods of processing and analysing EEG signals. Furthermore the volume describes in greater detail a number of special areas of computer applications which have reached an important stage of long-term EEG monitoring; clinical applications namely in epilepsy, cerebral ischemia and metabolic disorders; event-related potentials; psychoneuropharmacology; and electromyography. The volume in the revised series is a valuable addition to the library of those involved in this dynamic and rapidly developing field.
