Really great information and entertaining writing. I would have appreciated a tiny bit more about the current culture (as opposed to the history) and anthropological character of the city (and pictures, of course :P), but this was packed with really valuable information about the city and other major parts of Hungary. Extremely comprehensive - I was particularly impressed with the dining section and the convenient little walking guides. I browsed other Budapest guides, but this one was crucial for planning my trip. Supplemented with a more image-based guide (like Eyewitness), you'll be very well prepared!

This guide covers it all, and is as accessible to the first-time visitor as it is to someone very familiar with Budapest (like myself). Great advice on historical sites/museums, restaurants, accommodations, and transportation. Highly recommended: the most useful guide to Budapest and Hungary that you'll find.

painfully short on maps and editing--especially bad when the metro station you're trying to find is misspelled.
