Fuzzy Rule-Based Expert Systems and Genetic Machine Learning

Rate this book
This book integrates fuzzy rule-languages with genetic algorithms and classifier systems with the goal of obtaining fuzzy rule-based expert systems with learning capabilities. The first part shows, how the expressiveness of fuzzy rule-languages can be extended beyond fuzzy control. For the syntax context-free languages are used, for the semantic a type system and an object-oriented system. Several applications of these new fuzzy rule-languages to qualitative models from various fields of business administration and management science are shown. The second part presents a new approach to the integration of fuzzy rule-languages with genetic algorithms. For this purpose a new class of genetic algorithms over context-free languages is developed and analyzed.
