About the author

Henry Matthew Drucker was educated in his native New Jersey before gaining a doctorate in political philosophy at the London School of Economics in 1967. That year, he was appointed a lecturer in politics at Edinburgh University and was made senior lecturer in 1979. He was appointed Director of Development at Oxford University in 1987.
