This was one of the those books I randomly downloaded from Project Gutenberg and found it surprisingly well written. All the stories in the book deal with drowning, but what interesting stories they are. His characters, plots and settings are so unique and entrancing, but completely believable. I liked it so much, I downloaded his "In the Sargasso Sea" to read next.
