The York Rite as we understand it has sole jurisdiction over, and control of, the first three degrees of Free Masonry, and all who have received these three in a lawful Masonic way are eligible to petition the Scottish Rite for its'begin ning - the Fourth - and advancement to its thirty-second Degree.
