This is the story of a young, seemingly stupid girl named Sara. Sara has bad taste in men. So bad, that when she meets Dave, he convinces her to go with him to Afghanistan on holiday even though she has to pay for the both of them. Once there, Dave tells her that a friend of his has given them a car, and they can use it to go into Iran. Dave is a drug smuggler. He goes to jail, but Sara is let loose. For some completely unrealistically stupid reason, she doesn't fly back to England, instead she agrees to be an informant, so that Dave can get out of jail.

This is a decently well-written book with plot holes that I couldn't get over. People appear out of nowhere in the middle of the desert, and the characters motivations are not believable.

If you like intrigue or novels set in far off lands, you might enjoy this. It was just okay for me.
