Not what I was expecting. It is about the prairie's of Canada and is more modern than I expected. It is a diary of a woman's experiences who enjoys being a homemaker and living on the prairie. Her husband becomes involved with another woman and eventually files for divorce. It shows how much effort she made to keep their family together. Even though things did not work to preserve the marriage in the end, it was an excellent book.

Coming from the Prairie Wife, this one now follows Chaddie in her life as a mother while also dealing with her jerk husband Duncan.

She does not let life bring her down. She is stubborn but very true to life.
