This relatively short book cover's the American Civil Rights movement that occurred in the mid 50's to the mid 60's. This summarizes the groups and people involved in the movement which included Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Malcom X and so on. It gives you a good idea of what went on but doesn't go too heavily into detail. Just gives you a broad outline of what was happening. I think its a good book to start with if your looking for an introduction to the subject.
