This was a book about endangered animals in North America. It was really quite interesting to learn about animals that are so close to home. One thing that was really cool was that this book spoke about endangered plants, which isn't something everybody thinks about, or thinks that plants can become endangered or go extinct.

This book was written in 1997 so it is almost 20 years old. It would be really interesting to see an update of this book written in 2017 to see how the plants and animals in it are doing now. If they are off the endangered species list, still on it, or, sadly, extinct.
