At first, I thought this was going to be a good alphabet book, though I did not like the fact that the alphabet was scrambled up in it. However, as I kept turning the pages, I realized the illustrations were way too busy for any student to figure out what animal was supposed to go with the letter that was being introduced. Also there were several words and animal names that I did not know, so a kid that is getting it read to them or trying to read it on their own is really going to struggle with it. Definitely not the alphabet book I would pick for a child to look at.
Introduces entire alphabet, though not in alphabetical order through the story, but added in frame letter by letter until at the end alphabet is in order around outside of last page and uppercase letters only. Letters are used to name animals. May be good for late emergent stage.
Not a big fan of this book, which I found slightly confusing and not overly humorous. It does give a different approach to the alphabet however, I’ll give it that.
