How can kids learn to make math in the kitchen? This book shows how it's done. Best of all, the girl and her mother are baking BROWNIES.

This book has great photo illustrations. And the sentences are simple.

However, the only direct references to numbers are:

Using 2 eggs from the dozen.
Having 10 eggs left.
Cutting up the baked goods so that there are 12 brownies.

A very minimal amount of math teaching here.

Still, I'll rate this book at FIVE STARS. At least it won't scare any readers who see measuring cups illustrated on Page 7 but are never told what these "frightening glass thingies" are for.
