The artwork is interesting in the old-fashioned way from bygone years. The story wasn’t particularly amusing, and I certainly was not expecting language in a children’s picture book. This is adapted from an experience from the author’s childhood so I’m sure it brought a lot of joy for him to see it come to life and be memorialized.
My favorite from this author are the two “Donald” books that he teamed up with Edward Gorey on.
