This was a product line attached to the Top Secret/ S.I. role play game put out by TSR in the middle 80s. This was back when most new lines attempted to create a line of alternate media to accompany their main line. In this case it was the Agent 13 series. Two novellas, this graphic novel, and a sourcebook for the game. This is done in a neo-pulp style adventure with a protagonist who can alter his appearance, ala The Human Target.

Set in WWII, the antagonists of the series is a group known as The Brotherhood, rule by an otherworldy leader, and who are secretly controlling the Nazi’s rise. Agent 13 is a man who was raised among this group, but rebelled against his training. Each member is assigned a number which an only be seen when viewed behind a secret red lens. The action surrounds 13’s attempt to foil the brotherhood’s plans.

While the influences of this world are pretty obvious, it still is a fun read. The art is decent, and the book moves at a decent pace. But reading this now should be mostly for nostalgia’s sake.

Impressive modern writing of a pulp style character. This is the 2nd book of Agent 13 a man against the world. He has left the secretive organization called the brotherhood to fight against their world dominating plans. Using skills he learned while being trained as their assassin he travels the world battling their plans. Very Recommended.
