Gave this book to my friend's daughter and she loved it! I also enjoyed the moral of the story and find it cool that it's also a coloring book for the kids.

"Only One Samantha" is the story of a young girl with a strong sense of individuality. Samantha enjoys dressing up in “costumes” everyday for school even though the other children bully her for being different. Her response of "I'm already special, there is only one of me" is such a positive way for children to look at being different from others. What a great message for everyone to hear. I love that this children's story is also a coloring book. The illustrations allow the readers/children to express their own individuality which gives this story a "practice what you preach" aspect. I would recommend this book to all!

Samantha enjoys being unique. She doesn't need to fit in with the crowd. Every day she wears a different outfit to school. It doesn't bother her that her classmates criticize her for not wearing clothes like them.

One day, Samantha's teacher arrives strangely dressed. It is School Dress up day. All her classmates have forgotten. Only Samantha is dressed appropriately. What will happen?

Samantha has the confidence and courage to be true to herself and not depend on the opinions of others. This message is an important one for elementary and middle-school children to understand. This book contains black and white images that the reader may dress and color to their own preference.

Recommended especially for children ages six through twelve, but certainly appropriate for any age.

Only One Samantha

Cute rhyming story about a little girl that likes to dress up. She doesn’t care what others think about what she wears because she loves it!
