The first and only rule across the board in BDSM is SSC - safe, sane, consensual. All three of those words are broken from the beginning. I do realize the line moves a little for a slave vs. a submissive but what goes on in this book is way past any line.
At the beginning, Morgan has been in a scene as a club sub with a member. They are having an argument because he did things on her hard limits list. It does seem her list was unreasonable but, in the moment, it doesn't matter what the action was just that she had a list and if they were scening together, the implied contract is to honor each other's limits. In a respectable club, there is no way a member would be allowed to speak to a sub, or call him/her names the way that was allowed in this book. The Dom ends up getting comped for the night and she gets sent for training. There is no discussion with the Dom about choosing to not scene with someone if they can't adhere to the sub's limits.
No doubt Morgan has too much pride, tries to top from the bottom, and doesn't make much effort to be submissive in the beginning. Obviously, she needs to fix those issues if she wants to get paid for being a sub. But that conversation should have happened before she was allowed the job as a sub. Her boss should have gone through her limits with her and not hired her if she refused to budge on them.
Off to training we go and what happens there is worse. Most of the actual training is fine but during a party, she is forced to scene with a young guy who obviously doesn't know how to be a good Dom. He doesn't do much to prepare her for the scene. She has no trust in him. She calls out her safe word several times before her trainer comes to stop the scene. The physical aspect of it was not harsh. I think her bigger problem was not feeling safe with the Dom. She is forced to apologize to the Dom once her trainer decides he had not physically harmed her beyond reason and she is forced to scene with him again behind a privacy screen.
Then there is a house slave who is in a relationship with one of the trainers. He is jealous of Morgan and lies to get her in trouble. Everyone she tells says he would never do such a thing and tell her she needs to be more humble. Eventuall, he attacks her and his punishment is no where near enough and his master isn't called out on allowing the situation to get that out of control.
This place is a hot mess and should be an embarrassment to toe community instead of revered. The other thing that is odd is her training is very mild compared to other authors' books. She doesn't use the same terminology as what she to be consistent across many other authors as well. Between that and some of the things taught to her, I doubt the author has done sufficient research.
Aaron, her trainer, was the only bright spot in this book. But they have a severe instalove relationship. In maybe 3 or 4 days, for a few hours a day, they think they love each other enough to spend their lives together. I usually don't mind instalove but this one was ridiculously quick.
I don't recommend this book or this author. I only got this far because I downloaded the box set. I knew right away I wouldn't love the books because very early in the first book, the sub is repeatedly slapped across the face. There's just nothing sexy about that. To me, that is abuse. I was just hoping that would be all I hated but was horribly wrong.

I was really enjoying this book. Morgan knew what she liked, but didn't know where to start, or how to achieve, the joy in submission mentally. The mental block is holding her back physically, and that isn't allowing her to do her job. Her submission is evident to everyone, but her stubbornness and outspokenness gets her in trouble as well as holding her back. Her boss that employs her as a pro sub offers her two weeks training at a training house. While nervous, she meets her trainer and jumps at the chance
Never being in a BDSM relationship, never having a master, but used to getting men to bend to her will, she jumps right in. Her trainer is having none of that, nor are any of the other slaves in training, or house slaves, or masters at the facility. Morgan learns it isn't easy, but she can do it if she focuses and tries. It is hard to watch her stumble but tapping into her thoughts was an interesting read
There were two things that made me pause and seemed off place in a training house, versus a true slave relationship with real bad guys. Had this been a real slave situation with real bad guys, these scenes would have worked, but they were out of place here. First, during a party, our inexperienced sub used her safe word. The partner she was with chose to ignore it, but others intervened and stopped him. After checking with her, they gave her back, to the person who ignored her safe word, and let him take her behind a privacy scene. Seriously, just wrong. The second time was with a house slave who was mean and vindictive to all the other slaves, house and training. He belongs to one of the masters who trains, and when he does something criminal, he gets an extremely light punishment considering his crime. In a training world, not a slave world, both Master and slave should have been removed immediately. Both Master and slave lost trust in the most basic of terms and the fact they were still in that world, allowed to exist, really bothered me
The story between Morgan and Aaron was good. The fact that Morgan could only let go and submit, regardless of to who, when she imagined it was Aaron led me to believe she could submit to her one and only. Their ending seemed rushed, from straight denial to full-on HEA, but it fit, and I was off on the story by that point and needed it to end
Overall, okay, and the things that bothered me, really did bother me, but in the background, and the story of our two main characters was good

Although I know I need to suspend reality and just enjoy a book of fiction, there were a few plot items I had a problem with that distracted from this book. First, BDSM is supposed to be all about safe, sane and consensual yet Morgan is never asked about her limits and is expected to submit, no matter what. I realize her list was unrealistic at the club and had far too much on it, but a good trainer could have gone over it with her to make it more realistic. The trainers know she is new to the lifestyle, yet they don't tell her the rules and then punish her without telling her why she is being punished. She uses her safeword, which is ignored, but instead of making sure she is okay emotionally as well as physically, she is chastised for using the safeword. She has to ask a trainer to stop spanking her and he apologizes because he sometimes goes too far. Really? If he sometimes goes too far he should not be training anyone (especially taking money for it!) Finally, she is attacked by a house slave who has been bullying all of the other trainees and house slaves, and the only thing that happens to the bully is he is sent for a one week anger management program.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I wasn’t at all disappointed; in fact, I found it a fascinating insight into the world of BDSM. From a novice to finally becoming a fully-fledged submissive, the reader is taken on a wonderful journey as Morgan learns how to submit with grace and serenity, something she has never fully grasped before. The book is well-written and has some interesting twists and turns to make it a thoroughly engaging read. If this is your genre, then I would have no hesitation in recommending this book.
At 25-years old, Melissa had dated plenty of men, but true love had yet to find her. Melissa is a part-time paid play partner for members at a BDSM club; she adores the erotic allure of BDSM but has never understood, or been able to embrace, the concept of D/s. Melissa is a sexual masochist, but she has submissive potential, which is why she is being sent to the very exclusive Chateau L’Esclave, for 2-weeks training. Melissa wonders if she is up to the challenge; nevertheless, the idea of being trained is exciting and thrilling. Melissa would learn how to submit with grace and serenity, something she has never fully grasped; it would give her a chance to explore her inner self, not only her submissive nature but the whole concept of herself as a sensual being. But could Melissa really achieve that level of submission in 2-weeks? Aaron is Melissa’s primary trainer; while reviewing her contract, she is distracted by his presence and now she is in way over her head. Melissa is unowned and untrained with limited experience in the scene; not at all the Chateau’s typical client. It has been a while since Aaron has dealt with a complete novice and he is facing a definite challenge; has he been handed an impossible case? Aaron will have to ensure that Melissa’s beauty, and her obvious attempts at seduction, do not interfere with the training. Though untrained, Melissa has definite potential and Aaron agrees to explore her masochistic limits: in addition, he will ascertain where she lies on the submissive spectrum and where she wants to be. As the training commences there are mixed signals between the two. But Aaron has to remember he is Melissa’s trainer and nothing more. What starts out as a simple erotic plan assessment turns into something more; Melissa’s potential is far greater than Aaron initially thought. When Aaron has to take a leave of absence, he asks Melissa to make him proud while he is gone. Melissa knows Aaron believes in her; he would come back to her and when he did he would find a fully trained, graceful submissive; someone worthy of his dominant love. But is this possible when a person who thinks her vain is out to sabotage her at every turn? And what of Aaron; will he accept what he has been trying to deny for so long? A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Let’s take a young, sassy, vibrant woman with a little (maybe more than a little) attitude, that loves to play in the BSDM club scene, exploring her submissive sexuality… on her terms. Ok so right there you’ve got to be thinking where is Claire taking Morgan?
I think for Morgan… life is all about learning what our true desires are. Sometimes that’s hard to find, when we don’t fully understand what we are looking for. When we try to look for it and experiment… the results aren’t always going to fulfill us and we get frustrated. That frustration plus other’s less than stellar presumptions, exacerbate and exaggerate the scenes you are experimenting in.
It’s going to be on a journey alright… one that lands her in an exclusive BDSM intensive training facility (Le Chateau L’Esclave) paid for by her boss. He obviously sees potential in Morgan… a potential that is slightly hard to see at first given the attitude but you do get glimpses of her submissiveness.It’s not going to be the easiest of times for her as she will find out.
While Morgan is apprehensive, she is intrigued by the opportunities presented to her. Here again, it’s not going to be easy and having others undermine you, can lead to some pretty tense and confrontational moments and punishments. Do you rise above those challenges or give in and take charge. Actions always have consequences.

Her words and scenes are highly descriptive, always beautifully explained for those that may not have an understanding of this lifestyle. You feel the attitudes, tension, frustrations and angst of the characters. But also the serenity from other secondary characters - that you hope one day they to will find that special someone to rock their world..
No Turning Back is Morgans’s journey. Take this journey with Morgan, she is sassy, she’ll give you attitude but you want her to find what’s she’s looking for. She’s young, finding her way and exploring her wants and needs. That is what will find you turning these pages wanting to know more and see if she finds her way in the BDSM world and has what it takes to be the her submissive self to the man who will capture her undivided attention.

Well-written and believable...4.5 stars
Another winner in the BDSM Club series. I loved reading about Morgan’s experiences and the intensive training she receives at Le Chateau L’Esclave.
Morgan is an inexperienced submissive working in Tom Reed’s club in Manhattan. Her reluctance to delve into some play scenes at the club only convinces Tom that Morgan could benefit from submissive training if she wants to continue working for him. Morgan agrees to two weeks of full-immersion slave training at the exclusive facility where she will learn to “accept erotic suffering with grace, passion and serenity.” That’s easier said than done as she finds her newbie tendencies gets her in hot water along the way. When she meets her trainer, Master Aaron Sterling, she wants to please him as a real submissive, but she is also conflicted over her attraction to him. Can she act on her desire to want more from him? Or will that transgression only send her packing?
I was impressed with Master Aaron and his expertise and control. But I was also glad his heart was not entirely closed off from the attraction to Morgan. Though I thoroughly enjoyed the story, it was really more about Morgan’s journey to true submission, and possessing a level of understanding in attaining serenity through service. Aaron leaves for London on family emergency and has to leave the training to the other Masters in the house. There’s dynamic between all the members, some good, some not. I felt bad what happened to Morgan during Aaron’s absence but thank goodness, he is in time to comfort her. My only complaint is that I was not convinced of Aaron and Morgan’s declaration of love since they didn’t spend that much time together. Yet, this was a very well-written story and I very much enjoyed another great story by Claire Thompson. Loved it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Morgan would like to be a club sub. She enjoys pain but she is inexperienced in protocol and submission itself. Tom, the club owner, sees the potential in Morgan and sends her to Slave Castle for a fortnight, in the hopes that she will return to his club as a successful, full-time club sub. Morgan is hugely unprepared for her training, and immediately tries to seduce her English trainer, Aaron. Aaron is unusually attracted to Morgan and struggles to be professional. While Aaron leaves due to a family crisis, Morgan strives to make her Master proud in his absence. Each must deal with their own challenges, and by the time he returns, things have changed.

I Give this book a struggle between 3 to 4 stars, but in the end I picked 3.
This is a book where BDSM is at the front then your usual Romance BDSM books, because usually the more you read the more BDSM seems to fade within, added spice or become back noise. I wasnt Completely sold on the Aaron and Morgan relationship, despite the obvious growing of the characters and the well written ability to describe the club dynamics, I think due to the fact that Morgan was a top turned submissive and in actuality she was a submissive, she really didn’t know what the heck she was doing practically and she liked to try to top from the bottom quite a bit. She’s was really ‘bratty’ and snobby a little too much, therefore made me not really enjoy her as a character as much so I think she influenced my rating to go from 4 to 3.
This book has a HEA and it’s pretty good, there’s action, suspense, very likable secondary characters that I found to be enjoyable, and well written steamy scenes.
Would I read more from this Author? Yes, I would. I just didn’t happen to like this pairing quite as much.

Yet Another great addition to the BDSM Club Series! But in all honesty, I would expect nothing less from a Claire Thompson book/series. Ms Thompson has a unique writing style that I thoroughly enjoy and “No Turning Back” didn’t let me down.
The characters were very well defined and perfect for the storyline. Morgan, the female lead, while not the type of person I’d enjoy in real life, as she as is a bit of a brat, But it works wonderfully for the character in the story. You see Morgan is a BDSM Club Girl. But she lacks some of the more graceful skills needed, so she is sent to Le Château L’Esclave (a slave castle) for training.
Aaron, a very sexy trainer, is assigned to Morgan and boy oh boy does her bratty behavior test him. But I’ll give him credit. Aaron is determined. I love the way Ms Thompson doesn’t skate over the schooling and gives the reader explicit details. Does Aaron succeed in training Morgan before her “bratty side” causes them both unwanted troubles? 2 Thumbs Up for a great storyline. I highly recommend Ms. Thompson’s Club Series for anyone who enjoys BDSM books.

I’ve read another story in the series and this time it’s book #5, but again I really never felt lost. It makes it more interesting for me, some of the other characters that may show up, well I will just have to go and read their stories.
Morgan is sent to get some submissive training, others see she may have what the character of being submissive, but she is not giving it her all. Her trainer, Aaron, is the dream are made of, he is handsome, well built and very much a Dom. At first Morgan finds it hard to submit, but as time goes by she is finding her inner submissive. And as they work together, they are finding that they are attracted to each other, but cannot express it since they are teacher and student.
I found the two of them to have great chemistry, they certainly resisted each other. I found the whole training site, otherwise known as the Slave Castle, to be very fascinating, the whole inner workings exciting.
I highly recommend this story, it can push your limits, so make sure you are up to the task!

I am fairly new to this authors work, and so far i have really enjoyed her books. Although I don't have a lot of knowledge or experience of BDSM lifestyle, I feel it's not solely necessary to enjoy the book. The author does an excellent job of explaining and describing the complexity of the relationship within the setting, whilst also incorporating a beautifully written love story. I might not be able to fully understand all of the relationship dynamics, in particular i struggled with a feeling of unjust at Rick's lies about Morgan and the consequences of the lies. However despite getting a bit emotional over this I was able accept I won't always understand and just enjoy the love story.
I thought this book was well written with likable characters that you became invested in. I preferred the storyline of a couple of others in this series, but still enjoyed this one.

I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book. WOW! I'm glad I answered the call to read and review this book. Morgan, moonlights a few nights a week at a BDSM club; but, is she truly a submissive? Tom, her boss, decides to send her to training so he can hire her full-time, and not jeopardize his customers with her non-submissive outbursts. She is immediately attracted to Aaron, and casually signs the two week contract. Oooops. There is a definite connection between Morgan and Aaron. Aaron cannot understand it. He's always in control. Lucky for him he gets called away to see his mom in London, who had an accident. His dad assures him his mom will be fine, but this is a good opportunity for him to spend some time exploring his feelings for Morgan. Thank goodness he comes back early, as Morgan's training is pretty intense while he is gone. Aaron must tell Morgan how he feels. Will Morgan feel the same?

No Turning Back was a good story. It had some great characters, but they were a little light on backstory. I would have liked to know more about the main characters. Where they came from and what led them to explore this form of sexuality in greater detail. I feel that Aaron, one of the dominants, was the best defined. We get to see that he has a family and the depth of his compassion. He was the kind that makes readers develop a hankering for more. The supporting characters were fun additions and I would have liked to know about them as well.
The story had a good flow with a decent pace. I have to admit it was difficult to put down. It totally had my attention. The sex scenes were sultry, deeply sensual and were well written. The training segments were genuinely authentic. I'd recommend this story to those that like their romances with a different and harder flavor.

Talk about getting thrown inthe deep end! As a submissive, Morgan is somewhat of a failure. She wants the experience but has yet to learn how to really submit. She is given the opportunity to attend a two week total immersion training program for submissives. Thinking she can do anything for two weeks and at the urging of her friends, Morgan jumps at the chance. Things get real when she oversteps her boundaries with her trainer Aaron. He's gorgeous, how could she not? For his part Aaron tries to remain objective ans professional but Morgan is throwing him off his game. Time away from the training center because of a family emergency and Morgan's scary encounter with a training center sub brings home the reality of Aaron's true feeling for Morgan. In the end she discovers her true submission and they get their HEA.

Morgan, a part time Paid Play Partner in a BDSM club, opts to attend a very exclusive training facility called Le Chateau L'Esclave (Slave Castle) for 'specialized training' after a scene goes awry.
Focused on a desire to achieve a degree of 'submissive grace' and the incredibly hot visiting trainer, Aaron Sterling, she is not completely aware of what she has signed up for. It is somewhat amusing to see how all her preconceived notions of how her training was going to play out collapse. Her ideas of submission is a far cry from the reality of true submission.
A very illuminating journey via the methods and techniques implemented for the reader and Morgan as she achieves her goals. A few twists, and a few times I was not happy with a character's behaviour but Claire Thompson is very talented and believably brought everything to a satisfactory conclusion.

A new book in the BDSM club series, but it can be read as a stand alone with any problems.
I love BDSM books which feature a total power exchange, it brings a certain atmosphere to the story. I wasn’t quite sure what to make of Morgan and how serious she was in her training in the beginning, but she grew on me. I loved how each of the slaves and trainees showed how they experiences submission and what it means to them.
And that scene, you will know what I mean when you read the book, that made me shudder. That was so intense.
My favorite line in the book; “ It was like a perfect thunderstorm or the splendor of a rising wind far out at sea - dangerous and overwhelmingly beautiful”.

Morgan works as a submissive in a d/s club but lacks the fine training of an experienced sub. Her boss sends her to train at a place called the chateau, where she will be taught all the fine points of being a true fully qualified submissive. There Morgan meets her training dom Aaron, who she is instantly attracted to. An intensive 2 week training course starts which will guarantee to be quite the challenge.
NO TURNING BACK is an intense read. I really liked the main character Morgan and could understand her desire to achieve. It's a well written book and the author's description of the bdsm scenes are extraoridinary. Makes you feel like you're in the room too! Highly recommended

Wow! Another great book written by Claire Thompson. This book has it all, drama, love lots of sex and an interesting story line. There were quite a few characters and they all had important roles in the story. I love the fact that even though it's a BDSM book, it's not all about sex. There's a great story too. Don't get me wrong, there are some great sex scenes and I truly enjoy them. That's one of the reasons I like reading this genre, but I also want a love story. What can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic.
Now, I need to go read the other books in this series.

Claire Thompson has a great talent in bringing her characters to life. Her books appeal to the reader so that you feel every emotion. Without conscious thought the reader aligns with the "good" characters and cringes at those less honorable. So it is in this book. Aaron is not particularly kind to Morgan, but the reader instinctively knows he is a good guy. Rick on the other hand makes the reader shudder, with good reason it seems.
This is a real feel good book and I loved every minute of it.

I have read a couple of submissive training to a couple before but I found this especially interesting how the author provides a romance but also a real peak into actual training. This is the first time I’ve read about all the identified poses and a few other training things. I was really impressed how the author brought the differences into play of the difference personalities. I felt the story just flowed along and the different incidents happened, were dealt with and kept moving. I didn’t want to set it down. I plan on going back and reading the rest of the series.

OMG!! She did it again. Ms. Thompson outdid herself with this new book. I cried at parts of this story it was so moving for me. I loved Morgan's submission journey. I couldn't put it down. I had to read it from beginning to end and then go back and reread parts of it again. Her writing style is so realistic that I want to be on the same journey. It's not even about the sex, which is always amazing to read about , but about the emotional connection to submission which gets to me each time I read one of her books.
