This colorful, well-illustrated book -- designed for younger readers -- is a depiction of the country of Wales -- its history, its geography, its people, its language, its government. For the most part, the text is fairly clear and straightforward, although this reader found the description of Welsh government and how it connects and relates to that of the United Kingdom as a whole rather confusing. -- Much of the statistical-type material that appears throughout the volume is repeated in the back of the book, which provides a helpful review. Recommended to any who might want an overview of Wales.

In lieu of finding anything on an adult level, this was a great introduction. The facts, just the facts.
