It had been quite a while since I read any technical book and I'm glad to have picked up this one.

Won this in in a Giveaway, by the way.

Something I adored about this book was that it has been written considering the young generation of India. The author has described many important concepts in an interesting manner. Extra points for the proper structure of the content. It was an amalgamation of both theory and practical, an attribute that I found appreciable.

Although I would do like to point out that there is technical jargon involved for the enlightened minds. There are elaborated graphs, tabled data and details on the workings. The pictures are there but are non colored and some not so clear. To be fair, the paper is much better than an average coursebook. So that balances it out.

Getting this book, reminded me of my undergrad days of thermodynamics' books. I am surprised to find this detailed a work on Goodreads and even so winning it in a giveaway. Still, I managed to tread through the chapters attributed to some B.Tech background. The Steam Turbine chapter was the best and an understanding of Bode Plots helped me stick to this one.

The amount of research that is poured in is evident and sums it up as a noteworthy course book for Bachelor degrees and above. For laymen- should you seek thermal power plant management.
