PB & J
For ages 3-9... She wants to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but can't get the lid off the jar. No matter how many times she asks her parents for help, they just keep telling her she can do it herself. She tries everything to get the lid off the jar, but ultimately, there is only one thing that works. This story is a reminder of the potential we all have in us to do whatever we set our minds to. Sometimes we just need someone to believe in us.

I grew up in Green Bay, WI, graduated from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls in December 2012 with a Bachelor of Science- Animal Science, and have worked in the youth development field for both the YMCA(2009-17) and the Boy Scouts of America (2017-present). I am a Board Member of the Marathon County Literacy Council, an Ambassador for the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce, and an actively engaged member in my community.
In 2013, I was accepted to publish with Mirror Publishing. I published PB & J first, June 2014 and it took another two years to publish GUTS, June 2016. I was a presenter at Untitled Town Book Festival in 2017 and do book readings at a variety of local events. September 2017 was the start of this great new adventure, Dreambuilt Books.
I believe that the words I share with the world should have positive intention and that there are many valuable lessons to be learned by books. I am excited to share the building of my dreams with you!

She wanted to make a PB&J sandwich but the jelly lid was on to tight. She took it to her daddy and he looked at her and told her that he believed in her. Then he went back to reading his paper. She hit it with her fist and shoe. That didn't work. Gave it to the dog for a chew to. Nope not open. Gave it to Mommy. She said no and that she believed in me. She gave it to the can machine to give it a little crush. Still no jelly for her. What else did she try?
You know how to find out. Oh yes you do. . . . . Read/listen is the way to go. Enjoy and this book will make you want a PB&J sandwich.

Christine Reynebeau details the harrowing plight of many kids in PB & J! We’ve all been there, trying to get the jelly jar open and being defeated every time. Lucy tries a variety of things to solve this problem. I really liked Reynebeau’s fun approach to addressing perseverance and problem solving for kids! This picture book was fun and had a good moral message so check it out if you want to talk about persistence with young kiddos!

Never give up!
The story has a positive lesson, keep trying! The main character had times where she wasn’t sure if she could accomplish her goal but her mom and dad kept on encouraging her. A great life lesson.

Try, try, again
A terrific story that teaches kid to not give up, try again, and to think of different solutions if the 1st one doesn’t work. With the parents support and encouragement, a child can grow to be independent and self reliant.

A powerful message to parents and adults to have patience and let their children try to solve their problems. Whimsical illustrations make the book attractive to little readers.
