About the author
Robert Fear
19 books39 followersBorn in Leicester in 1955, Robert's family moved to Surrey when he was 11. He was educated at Reigate Grammar School. After this he worked in a bank in the city for several years before getting the travel bug. Fred, a nickname he got at school, stuck throughout his travels and has remained with him to this day. His travels took him to Ibiza for the summer of 1977, hitch-hiking around Europe in 1978 and the USA and Canada in 1979. During this time he also settled and worked in Germany. Fred's Diary 1981 was written during the 158 days he spent travelling around Asia.
These days Robert is happily settled in Eastbourne, East Sussex where he lives with his wife and three cats. He works as a software consultant and has been able to combine work with some travel during the past fifteen years, having visited countries as far apart as Australia, Singapore, Ghana and Suriname.

This book has many entertaining short stories and poems. My list of favorite authors is growing. Soon my Kindle will be packed with all the outstanding books I want to read. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, Travel Stories and Highlights: 2019 Edition. Check out Robert Fears’ edits of these amazing books.

Excellent stories that take readers to faraway lands.

Weak
The writing in this book was pretty weak for the most part. The effort to be ironic when a story drifted off to nowhere was irritating and the amount of space devoted to the "authors" was ludicrous, especially because many travel stories were only a paragraph or two long. Glad it was free.

Another compilation of short stories and travel experiences. These stories capture excitement, fear, fun and emotions.
An ideal book for the armchair traveller, finding yourself in a different part of the world with each story. Thank you to all the authors and to you, Robert for another lovely compilation.
