Jessie Henry is torn when she reads about the capture of the Doyle brothers, two young men who were part of her old gang. Unable to let them hang for a crime she’s sure they didn’t commit, Jessie leaves her wife and the Town of Boone Creek behind, and sets out on a journey back to the one place she thought she’d never see again, Castor Valley. Ellie Henry watches the love of her life leave, not knowing if she will ever return. When she gets an odd telegram, nearly a week later, she fears Jessie is in trouble. With no other choice, she goes to the one person who can help her. Castor Valley is the second book in the Law & Order Series.
This is the second book in the series. Overall, I enjoyed the book but not as much as the first one. I felt a lot was drawn out and constantly repeated and there wasn't a lot going on after they came back to the Creek. A lot of telling not necessarily interesting interaction. I was actually expecting the stage robbers mentioned at the beginning to make their way over but they didnt. Not a bad read but not as good as the first one. Available on Scribd so I give it 3.5*
