The year was 1862, and Henry Winstead and his family were waiting for his father to come home from fighting in the Civil War. The waiting was difficult, mostly because his father was fighting for the Union Army, and they were living in Tennessee, very much Confederate country. But despite his father’s return, a betrayal threatened the entire family. This time, Henry is called to action. Can he rescue his father and bring him back home? Will his family come to harm from neighbors who were once friends? Despite the odds, Henry sets out to do what he knows is right and embarks upon a journey he might not survive.
