I read the first 180 pages of the 415 page biography. I read about Services childhood, early years as a vagabond in Canada and the USA and of his 4 years in the Yukon. While in the Yukon he worked as a teller at CIBC in Whitehorse. He was a loner, spent his spare hours walking in the bush, and other spare hours writing poetry. He was a prolific writer.
I enjoyed the pages I read. The biography was well researched, very detailed, and provided a very interesting read. I read it just prior to going to the Yukon on a short vacation.
