If steamy romance is your cup of tea, then this is definitely the book for you. An intense alpha male. Then a very clever girl. When combined, a passionate, riveting version of the familiar cat-and-mouse chase occurs.
Enter Leonardo William Brandon, an undercover British spy working for MI6. His entire life, he considered the concept of love to be mere fiction, and something he didn't think he would find himself pursuing. Then comes Keira Harding, an ordinary girl studying Business Management in London. After their most dramatic encounter, Leo's look on love would suffer a paradigm shift. He just couldn't stop wanting her.
Keira found him as evanescent as he was mysterious. She yearned to disclose the endless secrets of his royal blue eyes. He was so near, and yet he seemed so far away. Naively, she had thought she knew him, but all this time, she had been spellbound by a professional liar.

"What are you doing to me?" He frowned and held my head firmly within his hands, while his royal blue eyes seemed to dive into my own. I swallowed upon the intensity of his question, and found myself confused by it. Before I could ask, he placed his mouth back to mine and poured his passion into me through his kiss. I had never felt so devoured. Very gently, while he was still kissing me, he guided me toward the bed behind me, and my heart spiked within my chest. I couldn't breathe anymore. This was exceeding all my expectations. Internally, I prayed I'd know what to do from here.
***I won this book via the Goodreads Giveaway program. This has not influenced my review.***
I had a hard time putting this book down. The plot was quite intriguing. However, the writing was not.
The story follows two main characters: Keira and Henry/Leo. There is way too much Keira and not enough Henry/Leo. Keira is a bit of a mess where she is introverted and bashful, but awfully brash and confrontational at times. I really hated how she allowed men to "order" her around and make demands of her. This seemed contradictory to her character and her beliefs. Henry/Leo is the one to get to know, but the author doesn't focus too much on him.
At times, I wanted to throw this book because it is so incredibly repetitive. It seemed like every other sentence had the words mumbled, muttered, chuckled, blushing, clenched jaw, or praising my figure. Seriously - this book could have been a deadly drinking game with any of these words.
The biggest disappointment came at the end when I realized we were plotless and floating out a see. When I saw I only had about 10% left to read, I also realized we were gunning for a sequel. There was no cliffhanger. The book just ended, and the reader is expected to pick up right where everyone left off. No thanks.
Before I start, I wanted to say when I received this book, I got the most amazing letter from the author. It was so nice so I just wanted to say, if you are reading Claire, Thank you. I loved your letter with your book.
I actually enjoyed The Faceless Man. I entered the giveaway thinking it sounded an interesting book and I wasn't wrong. The story (yes there is a story) is pretty interesting and keeps you hooked. I found myself really liking other character and hating some too (Astrid). Even some of Kieras friends I didn't like, but probably know people like them haha
I wanted all through the book to continually find out if Henry (Leo) and Kiera would actually make it and would they be happy or would Leo tell her who he really was. I was rooting that there would be a happily ever after and they'd ride off into the sunset.
The sex scenes are pretty hot, There isnt lots of them which I liked, but when they do happen they are very......descriptive.
I was hooked till the very end. The only thing and it was the only thing I didn't like was the ending. It just stopped. Im hoping there is going to be a continuation, a book two to find out what happens next. I felt like there was so much more to read. To be honest I was gutted it ended where it did.
Very worth it, can totally recommend it but the reason for the four stars is the ending.

I wish that I didn't have to do write a review of this book because I really don't enjoy leaving a bad one. I won the book in a give-away and therefore I have to write it. The book is badly written! The characters have no real development, the same physical and mental features are constantly repeated. He has a low voice, great body and dresses impeccably. She pouts a lot (which he finds adorable) and finds sex rather enjoyable although she has barely lost her virginity. She is also drunk a LOT. He is domineering (what a surprise), she acts like a Teenager, yet she is hired as Assistant CFO of a million pound business. What bothered me most is that there is NO END! I only finished reading this book to find out how the Author is going to tie up the lose strands that she starts all over the place, but she does not. The last paragraph of the chapter "Becoming the Man" ends with her asking him how the trip to the "US" was (he was actually in Russia as a British spy) and he tells her that business went well. He has a LOT more to tell her and I looked forward to finding how the Author will deal with the revelation that he has a totally different identity than the one that he portraits throughout the entire book. But this never happens.
I won a free book on a GoodReads give away. Thank you.
It was Long, too long. I can enjoy a good long read but this was not one. Also I am not sure how the title relates to the book.
The story was a little all over the place without any real direction. It was basically about young, supposedly smart and pretty girl, that every guy liked while she was unaware. They were all just her best mates. The H is an agent. Her employer is the “bad” guy but nothing bad happens. It was silly an unimaginative. Then 400+ pages later it just ends. I will not subject myself to more of her work.
I won this from Goodreads and am happy to leave a review. I really liked the Leo and Felix smart sophisticated characters as well as Kiera and friends. I would definitely read future books by this author.
I enjoyed The Faceless Man, I was hooked till the very end. And the very end….. the book just stopped, I do hope the is a sequel. I need to find out if Leo and Keira can make it work (Hope so).
I won the book in a give-away from Goodreads for honest review..1 1/2 stars.... I can enjoy a good long read but this was not one. Then 100+ pages later I just couldn't relate to the characters.
Absolutely wonderful, so pleased to have won this book AND it actually being a good book. I devoured this book in no time and now am reading the sequel.
This book follows the story of Leo a.k.a.Henry Fitch, a British spy, whose world is thrown upside down when he meets Keira, young business student. Torn between lust, falling in love, and his job, Henry has to figure out a way of staying in Keira's life, even though there are quite a few complications standing in the way - including a fake marriage. It is a very steamy read!
