My man is featured in this book, so we got an author copy and I just had to read the whole thing. The textbook as a whole is very practical and helpful...I am planning on using it for homeschooling. It starts with the basics of writing and development and easily tracks the stages from finding a topic to crudely forming an essay and revising and polishing. Basic grammatical rules are left to the end of the book in a section called "Preparing for Publication," which makes better sense than making the average college student/reader/writer slog through it again.
