Three couples, three journies, one destination. Love should feel euphoric, right? For these three women, sometimes it's not that easy.
Tori has loved the same man for what seems like her entire life, but with a list of broken promises and lies told by her husband, Keyton, Tori finds herself at a crossroads. Does she try to salvage her marriage with the love of her life, or move on from all the pain and turmoil?
Full-figured and beautiful TaNia is as independent as they come. She keeps her business in order and depends on no one. After her father's death, she moves back home to take care of her mother, which takes a lot of adjustment on her part. In the midst of all the changes in her life, her friend Lemonte has decided he wants more. He is on a mission to make her his, whether or not TaNia is ready for that.
Winter has always depended on someone, whether it was her parents or the man she was in a relationship with. She no longer wants to be that girl, so she makes some changes and learns to stand on her own two feet. She lives a lifestyle that she is not particularly proud of, but it makes her goals and dreams that much easier to accomplish. Her parents are traditional and old school, so she hides her life from them, but when she lands in the sights of Demarco, she has to make a choice between love and comfort.

The story is decent. But I have a bone to pick with the characters. I'm not a feminist, but the men in this story are GARBAGE! I wish my hubby would tell me what I can and can't do. Divorce papers would be in his face in a heartbeat.
The way these men see someone that pulls all of their attention, they immediately have the mindset of "she's gonna be mine", "i will own her and no one else will be around her", and the amount of possessiveness once they are dating. One guy loses his shit because another man attempted to talk to "his woman", and instead of being smart and being civil, ego gets in the way and they immediately jump to conclusions and use violence, before finding out that the random guy just saw a woman alone, attempted to flirt, was REJECTED by the woman. Every male in this book is obsessive, possessive, quick to anger, controlling and demanding. Absolutely terrible and possibly dangerous character traits. None of the women in the book deserve such awful relationships.
I don't know if it was the intent of the author, but the message I got from this book is that women shouldn't be independent, and self-sustaining. It's better if you just listen to your possessive piece-of-s*it-boyfriend and do everything he tells you. Let him provide for you, instead of flourishing on your own.
It's a bad precedent, but I am aware that it is fictional. The writing (structure) is great, but I'm annoyed with everything else about it.
