Hi Linda,
Being a parent is hard work. We find ourselves as bad parents when things are not going right with our children. Our children have so many different platforms to access information. Such mediums can influence our children in many different way. It could be good or it could be bad. Thus, we need to arm our children with the right mindset to be their personal best. I find your book Connection is an excellent resource that will allow children to understand what is possible when they set your mind to it, where to find happiness and how to re-define happiness for themselves.
I love the tips and bullet points throughout the book. Even if the children do not read the whole book, they can just read those keys ideas and still learn from it.
Well done Linda.👏👏👏
For now, I am happy that my daughter has a resource to refer to, when she needs help and guidance. Although what she has read and learned may not be clear today, there will be a day in the future when it will all make sense.
Many thanks 🙏.
We love your book. Keep up the good work and I hope your book reach to more children. ❤❤❤
Warm Regards, Jacki
I would love to also share my daughter comment:
Connection by Linda Duong is a deep, meaningful and wise book about using connections to find happiness. She talks about what it means to experience real happiness in simple and easy words where it's easy to understand and follow along with her amazing knowledge. In this book she teaches us that happiness doesn't come from the external factors; That it doesn't come from fancy cars or expensive presents. But that it comes from the connections. Connections with people, family, nature and yourself. It's important especially for young children to learn this sort of knowledge at a young age so they're prepared for future situations. It really gives a good insight of how she learned the meaning of happiness the hard way. From her experiences we can learn for ourselves, the true meaning of happiness. This book is highly recommended.

I just finished reading Linda's book, and I must say that I love her way of writing, how she shares her personal life experiences, and the way she remains mindful of various cultures, all while bringing out her message of happiness with clarity. What a great resource for the world to behold!
Personally, I realized that it's time to stop looking around for happiness. I now have to turn my eyes inwardly and choose to enjoy every moment I get hold of. I also have to, in my own way, learn to shake the filth out of bad days or situations and replace them with better experiences.
I also got more clarity on the idea that, professionally, the more I connect with more people, the more I'll find it easy to do business with them, and definitely, the more clients I may get out of my connecting with them.
I'll definitely have to try the breathwork and mindfulness. I have enjoyed mindfulness before but at some point, life got busier than before. And so is connecting with nature, which I can say I had abandoned!

July 18, 2020Really enjoyed this book as it helps me to reflect on how important staying connected is to our inner happiness in this world. With computer technology, our phones, our emails, the pandemic...it is easy to get caught up in getting so involved with these technologies that we forget the direct one on one connection. Linda outlines how there are 5 F's to support our inner happiness just by going thru the 5 fingers on our hand: Friendships, Family, Finance, Fitness and Fidelity! That's easy! Of course there is always Practicing these which are the most important part! I appreciate Linda's enthusiasm for bringing this message to the world. Of course, I have a goal to become an author too, so what she has done by bringing this book to the world also inspires me to be persistent with my Dream. As I wrote to her, "You inspire me Linda! I just got a draft of a Children’s Book written. Now seeking a Children’s Book Literary agent and illustrator!"

I finished this book in one reading!
I think every teacher, no matter where they are in the world … every teacher should have a copy of this book, not only will they be able to use it for their own training in a way, but they can also refer to it and use many of the tools you offered in the book to teach their students of all ages …. There is something appropriate for every age… Something has been talked about a lot is that there is not enough life skills education… To be able to incorporate into Mathematics, into financial literacy, it can be into health class … about sexuality and intimacy… so many things and sociology, you can talk about connections and you can talk about social study and history about other cultures…. There’s so much in there that I think especially teachers can benefit from! ….and then it’s just like the human breath!... It feels like an out-breath … and then the opportunity to take the in-breath… sitting in mediation!

This book is a gem! Linda not only breaks down what it takes to live a happy life - a truly happy life, but provides a well-thought out path to getting there. It's one of the few books I've read that actually takes the time to dive deep enough into a topic that I feel it has been given the thought t deserves. While "Connection" provides the right amount of depth, the writing is engaging and interesting enough to make the pages fly by. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to increase the happiness in their life - and really, who doesn't?

Connection, The Currency to Happiness is a heartfelt and uplifting read that encouraged me to slow down and appreciate the present moment. Linda Tomai Duong shares her personal experiences with warmth and authenticity, making the lessons on happiness and gratitude feel both relatable and practical. I finished the book feeling more mindful, inspired, and reminded that true happiness starts from within. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a positive shift in perspective.

I can relate to Linda’s story of her mum... my fiancé has been teetering between life and death. Most people don’t understand how I can feel joy in such adversity by appreciating the meaning of such deep love and sweet memories. Rather than focusing on losing the love of my life. Linda truly understand joy in all circumstances in this life...
