In the 21st century, many of the most successful companies focus on the development, success, and happiness of their own employees first. That's because they know engaged employees will enthusiastically take ownership of selling products and serving customers. Took awhile to get through because, while the subject matter is important and enlightening, it was written very dryly. There were too few personal examples of how/why this idea has worked for the author. It was also very repetitive.
I was encouraged by the fact that I believe I do many of the things suggested for management. And I can think of a few coworkers that don’t follow any of these ideas.
